Choquequirao Trek to Yanama 6D/5N: The Complete Coquequirao to Machu Picchu trek, begins and ends in Cusco city. We will collect our clients from their hotel in Cusco city. They will return to Cusco by train after they have completed the Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trekking. On the Complete Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trekking, you will be accompanied by a professional English and Spanish speaking guide. Also included are the entry tickets to Machu Picchu (no Huayna Picchu), a night in the Aguas Calientes Hotel and the train ticket from Aguas Calientes back to Cusco.
Classic Trekking Choquequirao to Machu Picchu 7 Days and 6 Nights
With the Imperial trekking we offer the hiker a unique 8-day adventure trek between jungle and mountains, from the holy city of Choquequirao to the lost city of Machu Picchu. This road was one of the most important and the Inca Empire being trafficked through Choquequirao, an access point to the Vilcabamba valley and jungle. The entrance is by the route of Cachora; We visit the Inca ruins of Choquequirao and continue our trek through Maizal and then to Yanama.
From Yanama we will take a car to Santa Teresa and from Santa Teresa a train to Aguas Calientes.
The ticket to Machupichu and the train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco are included in the price of trekking.

Day 2: Cusco - Sacred Valley Plus - 1 Day Visit the Inca sites: Sacsayhuaman, Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero - Back Cusco
The full day Sacred Valley Plus Tour visits the stunning Inca Sites of Sacsayhuaman, Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. You will experience beautiful colonial architecture, indigenous Inca and pre - Incan ruins at Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, we will learn about the traditional Inca textile practices that are still alive to this day. This is the perfect day trip for those seeking the perfect mix of culture and natural beauty. Day 3: Cusco private transfer to Cachora (2900 m) - Capuliyoc (2995 m) - Chiquiska - Playa Rosalinda (Apurimac River) or Santa Rosa Camp
We will pass by your hotel at 5 am in the morning to pick you up and drive you to Curawasi for about 3 hours by car where we will make a brief stop for breakfast and then continue for an hour more to Mirador Capuliyoc to start the hike, once ready for the hike we start decending for 3 hours approximate to Chiquisca lunch spot where the cooks will be waiting with delicious lunch and after we will continue with downhill hike to Playa Rosalinas where we will have a break and then we start the uphill section for 2 hours to the camp of Santa Rosa once there we will set up all the campsite to then have a delicious dinner and spend the night at the campsite. Day 4: Playa Rosalina or Santa Rosa - Maranpata - Choquequirao (Golden Cradle)
Ready for the challenge? After an early breakfast, we will have a strenuous 5 hours of uphill trek through a long and narrow trail, surrounded by beautiful vegetation with several varieties of orchids. Halfway up we will stop fo our lunch at Maranpata, then we will continue hiking a few more hours to our destination: Choquequirao!!! Also known as thee Golden Cradle, Choquequirao is consider the sister city of Machu Picchu, because of its several similarities, Choquequirao hang above the Apurimac Canyon, and Machu Picchu hangs above the Urubamba canyon. The view of the canyon is spectacular; it is also possible to see Andean Condors soaring in the mountains. Camp site near of Choquequirao (3050m). Overnight Camp (B/L/D)
Day 5: Full day - Visit to Choquequirao
From our camp Choquequirao we have about 40 minutes walk to reach the archaeological site of Choquequirao. We spend the day visiting the Inca ruins in its entirety, also reaching the Terraces of the Flame on the west side of the complex. Overnight Camp (B/L/D)
Day 6: Choquequirao - Choquequirao Pass - Rio Blanco - Maizal
Wake up surrounded by nature!!! From Choquequirao we walk an hour to the pass called Puerto Choquequirao or Open Choquequirao (3350m). Then we walk down to reach the archeological site Pinchaunuyoc (2200 m) where you can admire some houses and terraces that the Incas used for growing coca, coffee and yuca. We then descend to Rio Blanco (1450 m) In Rio Blanco, it’s possible take some time and enjoy a swim in the calm river. After crossing the river, we climb up to Maizal (3000m) where we will camp. Day 7: Choquequirao - Victoria Pass - Yamana - private transport to Santa Teresa (Thermal baths)
From Maizal, we continue climbing up to the old Victoria mine, a metallic bronze, copper and gold mine that today turns out to be obsolete.
After the Victoria mine we will cross the Victoria Pass (4160 m) and then descend for two hours where we will make our lunch in Yanama. Then we continue a long distance with private transport approximately 5 hours and a half to the Santa Teresa Village where our camp will be, before dinner we all our group go to the thermal baths. Day 8: Pueblo Santa Teresa - Hidroelectric - Aguas Calientes
Go my friends we can do it!! Alter a good breakfast we will take transport that takes us about 40 minutes to the to Hidroelectric, place where we will have an excellent view of a different angle of Machu Picchu and the Aobamba canyon, where another Inca trail can be seen, also here we will have our last lunch. After good rest we walk 3 hours to reach Aguas Calientes. We will spend the night in Hostel or hotel. Overnight Hotel (B/L/D)
Day 9: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
The Great day is here!!!
After an early breakfast from Aguas Calientes we walk or take the bus to Machu Picchu, there, we will have a guided tour for all the Archaeological Site, then we will have free time to be on our own in Machu Picchu, maybe to climb the Huayna Picchu anc visit the moon temple. At the mentioned time you will meet the guide and then come back to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cusco arriving at 8 pm approx. Overnight Hotel (B/L/D)
Day 10: Rest day in Cusco
Free day in the city of Cusco, if some participants want to do an extra tour, on request. Also free day to do the laundry before start of the Ausangate trek. Overnight Hotel (B/L/D)
Day 11: Cusco - Urcos - Tinqui - Upis
We will leave Cusco early in the morning by bus. On our way to Tinqui (3900m/12795f), we will pass little farms and enjoy the beautiful landscape. After a little picnic in Tinqui, we will start on foot towards the community of Upis (4400m/14436f). Along the way, we will meet local families who will show us some examples of their textile work, created to honor the nature and Andean symbols. We spend the night in Upis camping site, also the possibility to enjoy hot springs.

Day 12: Upis - Pucacocha Pass - Anantapata
After breakfast, we discover amazing lakes and different kind of colors from where we ascend towards Pucacocha Pass (4900m/ 16076ft). Thereafter, we will continue to Anantapata (4500m/14763ft) where we will camp.

Day 13: Anantapata – Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) Montaña de 7 Colores – Ausangate Cocha lake
After breakfast, we take the trail to another mountain pass. Dropping down, we'll hike by Lake Kayrawiri, surrounded by rugged mountain peaks and the great valley below. Striations of color are imbedded in the hillsides. Then we go on to Cerro Laya Grande via massive glacier del Inca, and the most striking colors in the sediments of Yauricunca or Vinicunca. We lunch here in this unique landscape. We see hundreds of Andean geese nesting in the cliffs of Anta, and after that we comeback to Ananta from where we continue to Ausangate Qocha Lake (4650m/15256f) where we will camp.

Day 14: Ausangate Lake - Palomani pass (5200 m) - Called Jampa or Sura Pata Camp
The 3rd day is both, the most beautiful and the most ardous one: we will first ascend towards the highest pass of this trek called the Palomani pass (5200m/17060f). From here, we will have an exceptional view of the mountains and glaciers of Ausangate. Thereafter, we will descend to the valley of Finaya Pampa and will finally arrive at our camping site called Jampa (4700m/15420f).

Day 15: Called Jampa or Sura Pata Camp - Jampa pass (5100 m) - Pacchanta (4350 m). Optional: Summit day Nevado Jampa (5500 m).
The highlight of this day is definitely the spectacular ascend to the Campa pass (5100m/16732f). Moreover, we will pass several lovely lagoons on the way to our camping site in Pacchanta (4350m/14270f). Here, we will visit the hot springs and will have a typical dinner.

Day 16: Pacchanta / Summit day Nevado Jampa (5500 m) - Pueblo Pachas Pata - Tinqui - Cusco
We will have at 3:00am our breakfast, we starting to go our last summit at 4:00am and reach our top about 8:00am Nevado Jampa (5500 m), we will be back our camp Pacchanta about 11:00am. The group will not go to the Summit to Jampa is waiting in the same camp, about 12:00pm all group together start to trek, continues towards the village Tinqui (3900m/12795f), from where we will take a bus back to Cusco. On the way we will visit either Tipon or Saylla and have a typical dish of the region, such as guinea-pig or chicharrón (grilled pork). (Typical dish of the region included)
