Peru is the country that can completely satisfy all human tastes, preferences and energy! The people there are extremely earthy, humble and kind - a mentality too close to the senses of much of humanity. It is unique to Peru - Nature, mysticism and unparalleled world cultural and historical heritage!
Lima is the capital: of Peru located on the arid Pacific coast of the country. Although its colonial center is preserved, it is an overflowing metropolis and one of the largest cities in South America. The Larco Museum houses a collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museum of the Nation traces the history of the ancient civilizations of Peru. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th century cathedral are the core of the old center of Lima.
Cusco is a city in the Peruvian: Andes that was the capital of the Inca Empire and is known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. The Plaza de Armas is the center of the ancient city, with galleries, carved wooden balconies and ruins of Inca walls. The convent of Santo Domingo, in baroque style, was built on the Temple of the Inca Sun (Qoricancha) and has archaeological remains of Inca stonework.
Machu Picchu: is an Inca citadel located in the heights of the Andes mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba river valley. It was built in the fifteenth century and then abandoned, and is famous for its sophisticated dry stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of a mortar, fascinating buildings that relate to astronomical alignments and panoramic views. The exact use he had remains a mystery.
Different regions of Peru and Bolivia: You hike over an ancient Inca path and over passes to 4400 m altitude. Fascinating views of glacial Andean peaks and valleys with a rich flora, animals and small shepherd villages characterize the first part of the trip. Then there are cultural highlights: the mysterious ruins of Machu Picchu, the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo, the Pisac ruins as well as the monuments in Cusco and the surrounding area. Still a special experience - also in terms of colors and light - is the drive from Cusco over the La Raya Pass and the Altiplano to Lake Titicaca. The lake radiates a deep blue, in the distance 'snowy' mountain peaks. From Copacabana in Bolivia you hike along the lake to the sun island. Fascinating is the landscape: the blue lake, small villages, colorfully dressed Indians, terraced fields and the Cordillera of Bolivia. Then you hike through the beautiful mountain scenery of the Condoriri. The finale is the traversal of the two approximately 5000 m high passes to Chacapampa. Finally, immerse yourself in the bustling city of La Paz. All in all, a journey to discover the ancient and the living cultures.
